NORMAN, Okla. – The American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Oklahoma and the American Indian Chamber of Commerce of Texas are hosting the 4th Annual Indian Country Business Summit to be held this year in Norman on August 17th and 18th. The purpose of the summit is to promote native owned businesses in Indian Country with a focus on Oklahoma and Texas.

August 17 & 18, 2010 Guest Speaker Litefoot

Among the anticipated speakers this year are:

Washington DC  Clara Pratte (SBA), Don Chapman (US Dept of Commerce), Larry Echohawk (BIA), Jefferson Keel (NCAI President and Lt. Gov. Chickasaw Nation)
Oklahoma  Natalie Shirley (Oklahoma Department of Commerce), Governor Anoatubby (Chickasaw Nation), B.I.E., I.H.S, GSA, and other agencies



This year, new to our program, is a track for Native American arts and entertainment as a business.

The goal is to bring Native Americans who are accomplished in the business together with those actively aspiring to enter the business.

Some of the names who are committed or pending are: Jay Shanker, and Litefoot, Delanna Studi, Monica Taylor, Steven R. Heape



Match Making Opportunities

Business Matchmaking provides unprecedented opportunities from government agencies and major corporations.  This program will be on going throughout the event and will provide you with one-on-one time, training, counseling, key resources, tools and special relationships with many procurement representatives from the public and private sector.  Business Matchmaking continues to be a resourceful initiative for all small business participants.
