Sr. VP Rex Woods to Lead Flintco’s New Mexico Office


Albuquerque, NM -- June 27, 2012 – Flintco, LLC a top 20 national commercial contractor and the largest Native American-owned company, today announced it is moving its Native American headquarters to Albuquerque, New Mexico. Flintco Senior Vice President Rex Woods, who leads the company’s Native American Group, will also take the reins of Flintco’s New Mexico operations.


“Flintco is moving its Native American headquarters to Albuquerque because of the importance of its location in relation to Indian Country and in recognition of our ongoing, long-term commitment to this area.” said Flintco Senior Vice President Rex Woods.  “We are confident this move will generate new revenues and job growth for Flintco and this region.”


Approximately 30% of Flintco’s annual national revenues come from construction projects in Indian Country.  Over the past three decades, Flintco has partnered with more than 65 Indian tribes, pueblos and rancherías to construct educational facilities, hospitals, government buildings, gaming venues, hotels and sports complexes throughout the country.


“We are confident that having Albuquerque as our headquarters for all Native American business will further solidify our position as the nation’s leading Native American contractor,” said Flintco Chairwoman Robin Flint Ballenger.


Flintco’s contribution to the community and to the state includes projects like the Gallup Indian Hospital, the Isleta Elementary School, the Institute of American Indian Arts campus and the Santa Fe Indian School.


In his 14 years with the company, Woods has contributed to Flintco’s tribal employment agreements and cultural diversity training, as well as to business development customized to each tribal entity’s specific needs.  Woods, a 27-year veteran of the construction industry added, “I have worked throughout the country and I particularly appreciate the culture and friendliness of everyone I have encountered in this region.
