TAHLEQUAH, Okla. – The Native American Times newspaper began its winter publishing break Dec. 23. The newspaper will resume publishing the week of Jan. 6, 2014.  This break allows the distribution drivers, publisher and writers to spend the winter holidays with their families and friends and get a much needed rest.

Also in January, the newspaper will transition from a free circulation to paid in order to expand coverage and distribution to a larger portion of the state. The cost per copy will be .50 cents - this will defray the printing and distribution costs so that we may add more local coverage in each issue.

Please let your favorite retailers (convenience stores, smoke shops, grocers) know that you would like them to carry the Native American Times and let us know where you would like to be able to purchase a copy each week and we will do our best to make those arrangements.

You may also purchase a paid subscription to the Native Times for a copy to be directly mailed to you OR you may download a new copy free from this website every Monday afternoon we publish.

For information on subscribing or getting the Native Times distributed to your favorite retailer, please email This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it. or call Lisa Snell at 918-708-5838.

In the meantime, website content will be updated regularly though our winter print break.

Thank you for reading the Native Times - I wish you all a healthy, happy and prosperous New Year!

– Lisa Snell, Publisher
