SANTA FE, N.M. (AP) – The Institute of American Indian Arts in Santa Fe has established dual credit agreements with the Albuquerque Public Schools, Native American Community Academy, Santa Fe Indian School and Santa Fe Public Schools.

Beginning next spring, students at partner high schools will be able to earn high school and college credit tuition-free.

IAIA is one of four tribal colleges in New Mexico included in the state's dual credit program, a statewide initiative to extend academic opportunities for New Mexico's high school students.

Students will be able to choose IAIA offerings in studio arts, new media arts, indigenous studies, museum studies and creative writing.

Dual credit courses will be offered on-campus, online and at some high school locations.
