TULSA, Okla. – This year’s Dance of the Two Moons will be held Saturday, April 16, at the spectacular Hard Rock Hotel and Casino Tulsa, located at 777 W. Cherokee St., Catoosa, OK.

The 2011 Dance of the Two Moons will feature an extraordinary dinner, live and silent auctions. Attendees will be entertained by the talents of the Native Nations Youth Council drum group – the youth group is sponsored by IHCRC. The Fabulous Mid-Life Crisis Band is back again to keep the party lively and our guests dancing.

The Honorary Chairs of the 2011 Dance of the Two Moons are Bert and Martha Marshall. Mr. Marshall is the President of Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma and a member of the Cherokee Nation. Martha Marshall is a private practice attorney and a member of the Choctaw Nation. Over the years, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Oklahoma has been an advocate for improving the health and well-being of all Oklahomans. The company is strongly committed to providing underserved and minority populations with access to health care services. Mr. and Mrs. Marshall are personally dedicated to helping Indian Health Care Resource Center improve the lives of our patients. Dr. Charles Knife Chief, Medical Director for Blue Cross and Blue Shield will serve as the Board Chair.

As with every year, the proceeds from the Dance of the Two Moons will help fund Indian Health Care’s pediatric services. The monies raised at the Dance of the Two Moons will provide vital funding for IHCRC to continue to provide numerous pediatric services including: medical, dental, optometry, behavioral health, health education and wellness, x-ray and pharmacy. This past fiscal year, over 3,000 children made more than 10,100 health care visits to IHCRC’s pediatric health providers. Without the culturally appropriate health care provided by IHCRC, many of these children would not have a medical home.

The live auction will feature the use of a private 2,800 sq ft. condo in Cabo San Lucus, original paintings, a private suite in the BOK center for a Oiler’s game, jewelry and much much more!

Tickets to the Dance of the Two Moons are $100 each or $175 per couple. Five sponsorship levels are available ranging from $1,500 to $10,000.
