UNCASVILLE, Conn. (AP) – Connecticut's Mohegan tribe is hosting its annual Wigwam Festival this weekend at Fort Shantok in Uncasville.

The festival includes traditional Native American food, crafts and dancing. The tribe says it has been celebrating the festival since before the arrival of Europeans to North America.

The event takes place between 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday and is free and open to the public. A shuttle to the event is available at the Mohegan Sun casino.
