OKLAHOMA CITY (AP) – A new pediatric facility in Oklahoma City will nearly triple the space dedicated to serving some of the youngest American Indian patients in the area.

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic is hosting the grand opening for its new 7,200-square-foot Harmon-y Pediatric Clinic on Tuesday. More than 3,500 American Indian children are expected to be treated at the new clinic.

The Oklahoma City Indian Clinic serves more than 18,000 patients from more than 220 federally recognized tribes each year. It opened in 1974 and offers a variety of services.
