Adam Torres to serve as Executive Director

San Manuel Indian Reservation (Highland, Calif.) — The San Manuel Band of Mission Indians is pleased to announce that Mr. Adam Torres has accepted the position of Executive Director of the San Manuel Gaming Commission.

Mr. Torres’ depth and breadth of experience in enforcing federal anti-money laundering, financial fraud, and other statutes over a career spanning nearly 40 years will be a key asset to the Gaming Commission, which is the primary regulator of the San Manuel Indian Bingo & Casino.

In a prior role with the United States Attorney in California, Adam led the Suspicious Activity Report Committee as well as the Title 31 Anti Money Laundering Compliance Program for the Internal Revenue Service. He is a former Presidential appointee as US Marshal for the Central District of California.

Torres’ work with the Internal Revenue Service, his background in law enforcement and overall experience will add tremendously to the Tribe’s capabilities to ensure compliance with tribal, state and federal regulations that apply to tribal government gaming facilities across the country. As the primary regulator for our gaming enterprise, the San Manuel Gaming Commission is tasked with protecting the integrity of the gaming operation and building the public trust with offerings of fair and honest gaming for our guests.
