MINNEAPOLIS (AP) – A body found last month along Interstate 394 in Minneapolis has been identified as that of a 19-year-old Native American woman.

The Hennepin County medical examiner's office said Thursday the woman was Erica Rose Murphy. It says the cause and manner of her death are undetermined.

Minnesota Department of Transportation workers found Murphy's body April 28. Police said it appeared to have been there for a while.

Homicide detectives were asked to investigate. Police spokesman Sgt. William Palmer tells the Star Tribune he has no further information on the status of the investigation.
