OMAHA, Neb. (AP) – An 18-year-old Nebraska woman who fatally stabbed one teen and injured another in 2008 has been given 8 1/3 years in a federal prison.

Inessa Lyons had pleaded guilty in November to voluntary manslaughter and a weapons count in the July 2008 stabbing on the Omaha Indian Reservation in Macy. The U.S. Attorney's Office in Omaha says Lyons was sentenced on Feb. 17.

Prosecutors say Lyons fought with the other girls at a late-night party before stabbing them both, killing 15-year-old LaTressa Lee Walker and wounding an 18-year-old girl.

Lyons was charged as an adult and sentenced as an adult.
