MADISON, Wis. (AP) – A group of American Indian tribes and federal officials are inviting the public to visit a new exhibit on climate change in the Great Lakes in far northern Wisconsin.

The “Changing Climate ... Changing Culture” exhibit is open seven days a week at the Northern Great Lakes Visitor Center in Ashland. A coalition of tribes known as The Great Lakes Indian Fish and Wildlife Commission and the Chequamegon-Nicolet National Forest will host a free celebration of the exhibit on Oct. 11.

The exhibit focuses on the effect of climate change on the Ojibwe culture as well as on the Great Lakes region.
