CLAREMORE – Rogers State University Public Television (RSU TV) will sponsor a forum among the four candidates for principal chief of the Cherokee Nation. Co-sponsored by the Cherokee Phoenix, the debate will be held Thursday, May 14 at 7 p.m. at the Centennial Center on the Claremore campus of Rogers State University.

It will be televised live on RSU TV, and streamed from the station’s website at www.rsu.tv , as well as the Cherokee Phoenix website atwww.cherokeephoenix.org .

Incumbent Bill John Baker, State Representative Will Fourkiller, Charlie Soap and former chief Chad Smith have confirmed their participation. The forum will be moderated by Scott Thompson, KOTV Channel 6 anchor.

The public is invited but are requested to arrive by 6:45 p.m. to accommodate broadcast requirements.
