DUNMORE, Mont. (AP) – Four barrels with labels saying they contained volatile chemicals have been found along a road on the Crow Indian Reservation in southern Montana.

The Crow Tribe says the 55-gallon barrels were found Friday alongside River Road, which runs parallel to the Little Bighorn River.

According to the tribe, three of the barrels were empty and one had about eight gallons of liquid inside. No contents spilled.

As a precaution, people in the surrounding area were evacuated until the barrels could be safely removed.

The American Red Cross reported that about 50 people showed up Friday night at an evacuation center set up in Crow Agency.
