OKMULGEE, Okla. – The Muscogee (Creek) Nation will host the Inauguration Ceremony for its newly-elected Principal Chief, reelected Second Chief and the Nineteenth Session of the Muscogee (Creek) National Council on Jan. 2, 2016 at the Mvskoke Dome in Okmulgee, Okla.

Principal Chief-Elect James Floyd, the former director of the Veterans Administration’s Jack C. Montgomery Medical Center in Muskogee, Okla., and Ernest Childers Clinic in Tulsa, Okla., won the general election on Nov. 7.

Louis Hicks was the incumbent for the Second Chief's seat and won unopposed.

Three new representatives were elected and two reelected to the National Council for Seat A in four districts: Darrell Proctor, McIntosh District; Del Beaver for the Okmulgee District; Randall Hicks, Okfuskee District; Rufus Scott, Tukvpvtce District and Robert Hufft, Tulsa District. Proctor and Hufft are incumbents.
