PHOENIX (AP) – Diane Enos has been re-elected to a second four-year term as president of the Salt River Pima-Maricopa Indian Community.
In voting results released Wednesday, Enos defeated tribal Chief Judge Delbert Ray Sr., former president Joan Ramos and Sterling Manuel Sr.
The 60-year-old Enos received 41 percent of the ballots cast on the reservation east of Scottsdale.
In a record turnout of nearly one third of eligible Salt River voters, tribal Vice President Martin Harvier and incumbent Tribal Council members Thomas Largo Sr. and Anthony Collins Sr. also were re-elected.
