CHEROKEE CASINO WEST SILOAM SPRINGS AWARDS $487,422 WHEEL OF FORTUNE

Watts, Okla.  – The Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs awarded an impressive $487,422 Wheel of Fortune® MegaJackpot® on Sunday, May 24th.

The winner, who asked to remain anonymous, said he came to the casino for a barbeque and moved to the winning machine when another machine was not paying. Incredibly, after investing only $20 into the winning machine, the winner was surprised to learn he had won the top progressive prize saying the first thought that went through his mind was, “where is my wife?” When asked about immediate plans, the MegaJackpot® winner reported that he will continue working and plans to use his winnings to “pay some bills.”

Sunday’s MegaJackpot® is the first to be paid so far this year, and the second ever to be awarded at the casino. In March 2007, the casino paid an incredible $385,554 MegaJackpot® that hit on a Beverly HillbilliesÔ penny machine. Open 24 hours a day, the 50,000 square foot casino features electronic games and table games. Guests can enjoy music, drinks and dancing at Twisters bar, or taste the delicious menu items at Sidewalk Cafe. Construction is underway on a new $83 million casino with 600 new electronic games, 10 more poker and table games, more restaurants, and a bigger nightclub with a stage and dance floor. Within walking distance, the casino is also opening a new 7-story hotel with 140 rooms. Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs is part of a Native American progressive gaming network which includes over 300 tribal casinos nationwide. Each time a coin is played in a linked machine, anywhere in the network, the jackpot accumulates until some lucky winner hits the top jackpot award. The Cherokee Casino West Siloam Springs is one of seven casinos operated by Cherokee Nation Enterprises. Other Cherokee Casinos can be found in Tulsa; Roland; Tahlequah; Ft. Gibson; Will Rogers Downs and Salisaw, Oklahoma.

The one-dollar Wheel of Fortune® progressive system has a starting jackpot of $300,000. In order to win the MegaJackpot®, a player bets three dollars at a time while attempting to line up the Wheel of Fortune® reel symbols on the machine’s payline.
